WorldMarketStats is a global market-cap leaderboard: every country's total stock market capitalization and listed-company count, yearly from 2000 to 2025, built from World Bank data. If you want the largest stock markets in the world ranked by country, or the full world stock market by country picture, this is the dataset behind it: 104 countries, 2,098 country-years, one honest table.
I'm an independent developer based in Austin, Texas. I built WorldMarketStats because the "biggest stock exchanges in the world" lists I kept finding stopped at ten names and last year's numbers. I wanted the whole ranking, every year, with the numbers to back every claim. Everything here comes from a real, searchable dataset, not opinions.
The heart of the site is the database: 2,098 country-years you can search yourself. Around it, I publish practical guides on the questions investors actually ask: which country's stock market is growing fastest, the best country to invest in 2026, and how to read a market cap by country chart. I'm also building CapitalDrift: monthly country rotation signals, milestone alerts, 26 years of charts, and ETF mapping for every call ($10/mo).
